NFG Axie Scholar Reward NFTs & Packs
The Idea
The NFGs are passionate about rewarding and empowering their community to achieve and learn more in the NFT ecosystem; especially on the wax blockchain. As such, the NFG bosses have been busy developing a new method of rewarding their Axie scholar community by introducing an extra level of gamification to playing Axie Infinity, which we all know can become quite mundane after a few months of grinding. The hope is that this will also help to introduce newcomers to the NFT world to some of the methods people can use in other blockchain games to make money. So, the NFGs are officially launching a WAX blockchain based NFT ‘mini-game’ that Axie infinity scholars can use to gain rewards and SLP payment bonuses.
The Reward System
Payment Tiers and Monitoring Performance
All new scholars will start on the opal payment tier. A snapshot of scholar SLP earnings is taken every day between 18:00 and 19:00 UTC (sometime this may vary if API executions fail) and this is used to determine the average SLP of each scholar. On the last day of each month the monthly average SLP of each scholar will be assessed and base payment tier will be updated for the following month pay. Base payment tiers can be upgraded or downgraded in line with the criteria in the table below. SLP may be claimed at any point throughout the month.
Reward Mechanism
Gemstone NFTs
At the start of every month, each scholar will receive a Raw Gemstone NFT, the type of which is based on SLP performance (i.e., if a scholar is on opal base payment tier at the start of the month, they will receive a Raw Opal NFT). Each gemstone type has 5 different gemstone qualities: Raw Gemstone, Refined Gemstone, Pure Gemstone, Cut Gemstone and Polished Gemstone. Gemstone qualities can be upgraded by blending with Quality Upgrade NFTs. The final blend will reward the scholar with a NFT Reward pack
Crafting and Blending
For a scholar to be rewarded through the Gem NFT system they must first upgrade their Gemstones to the Polished Gemstone state by blending them with Quality Upgrade NFTs. Each blend will provide the scholar with a new Gemstone NFT of the next quality. The Polished Gemstone NFT can then finally be blended into an NFT reward pack (of the same gemstone type being blended). The number of Quality Upgrade NFTs required to upgrade a raw gemstone all the way to a NFT reward pack (and for each upgrade in quality) will be different for each gemstone type. This quantity may be subject to change for reward balancing.
Quality Upgrade NFT Airdrops
Quality Upgrade NFTs will be airdropped to scholars on a weekly basis (every Monday). The quantity of Quality Upgrade NFTs each scholar receives will be determined by the average SLP from the previous week.
In addition to performance-based airdrops of these NFTs, scholars will also be able to gain more prizes during Axie assembly streams and as rewards from team competitions.
Gemstone Packs: Reward NFTs
Each reward pack type contains a different amount of reward NFTs. The higher the rarity of gem pack (topaz à diamond) the more reward NFTs the packs will contain. This number of NFTs may change from one month to another.
Claiming Rewards
Gemstone pack NFTs can be unpacked at any point. To claim the SLP % boost rewards the scholar must send the reward NFT to the axiepayments wallet. Once completed, the scholar will receive the rewards as part of their next payment (and subsequent payments if it is a lifetime boost). Wax coin NFTs will be wax-backed and can be burned to claim the wax value.
Burn Tokens
The reward NFTs will also be available as blends on neftyblocks.com. They will require different quantities of burn tokens for each blend based on the base value of the reward. The number required for each blend can be found on the blending page (on https://neftyblocks.com — blends will be live soon) and may be subject to change.
